Is burlap back? Or did it ever leave?
I have been asked a few times in the last weeks by my brides about resources or ideas for incorporating burlap into a wedding. Although I don’t profess to be an event designer, I do see burlap show up over and over at the weddings that I coordinate – some were beach weddings, some were winery weddings, some were ranch weddings. The Santa Barbara area is such a diverse location and many of the venues lend themselves to a rustic-but-elegant theme. Burlap is something that highlights a “rustic” feel in any event. You could also add some lace to soften the burlap feel (a little nod to one of my dear summertime brides, Ellen, who had some custom runners made on Etsy.com).
