Happy Valentine’s Day!
Better late than never… Happy Valentine’s Day! They say that about 10% of couples in the United States get engaged on Valentine’s Day which makes sense since it is a day for lovers! I had a beautiful surprise waiting for me from a couple of admirers, Jenny & Claudia from Simply Bouquets who I ADORE and love working with. For you brides who are looking for creative solutions to your wedding needs – like if you just need personal florals (bouquets & bouts) or want to arrange your own flowers – these are the ladies to talk to (although I just learned that they do choose a few exclusive events each year to do full-service floral design for so please ask them about that too)!
I hope that love was in the air for you, my dear readers, as I spent mine with my loving and supportive husband, Travis. We were invited to the launch party for Santa Barbara Style, an event design company in Santa Barbara. Formerly known as Hearts Bloom Floral Design, this new company, owned by a dear friend and colleague of mine, Joni Papay is PERFECT for the brides who want that WOW wedding! Joni is incredibly talented and has won many awards in the wedding & event industry as well as for her work in the entertainment industry. I had an amazing time reconnecting with the talented and charming photographer Jessica Lewis (who is a redhead now, yeah!) and her hubby and enjoying a night of elegance, beauty and fun. One of my favorite bands of all time, The Shoemaker Brothers, played both at the cocktail reception and the main event. They are hotties who play multiple instruments each, rock their own style of music – they will melt your heart and rock your world. Thank you, Joni – you’re a true artist and an amazing hostess! This was the best Valentine’s Day I have had EVER! So blessed…
